The following Original Alphabet grew out of love for a beautiful baby girl. In an imaginative and collaborative effort between her mom, her dad and me, we designed and created 26 original pieces of art for Lily. It was a joyful process.

ORIGINAL ALPHABET ART DETAILS:

Original Alphabet Art is truly created by both you (and your family or friends) and me together. Don't worry if you "can't draw a stick person," this is easy and fun. All art supplies used by Rainford Art are ACMI approved Non-Toxic and high artist quality.

Here are your options:
  1. Co-create all 26 letters of Original Alphabet Art - $270 each 3"x 5" letter*.

  2. Co-create one letter to however many letters of Original Alphabet Art you would like--perhaps spelling out babies name or initials - $300 each 3" x 5" letter*.
*You can choose a different canvas size - prices will vary. I use 3" x 5" highest quality canvas. Canvas is Gallery Wrap style - meaning it comes off of the wall by 1.5 inches. I paint entirely around the canvas edges so that each painting feels finished without needing a frame - see "sideview images" above.



To Co-create 26 letters of Original Alphabet, the process looks like this:
  1. The alphabet is broken up into four groups. In the first group, we will work with the first 6 letters, A-F.

  2. Download and print the Original Alphabet Art Form by clicking here.

    On the form, you write the word that you decide represents each letter and a very simple drawing of how this word is best depicted (there is space for two drawings - you and your partner or friend can each draw your own version. To see and example of a completed form, please click here

  3. Mail or Fax me the form.

  4. I will then Mail or Fax you 6 pencil drawings of my interpretation of your drawings. I will take into consideration how they flow from one to another.

  5. If you are happy with the drawings, I begin painting.

  6. Once the paintings are dry I will ship them to you or the family you are creating them for (cost is already included).

  7. The next group of 6 letters, G-L will begin as the first group dries.

  8. The next group of 6 letters, M-R will begin as the second group dries.

  9. The fourth and final group will be 8 letters, S-Z. Each of the four groups of letters takes about 8 weeks to complete. The entire process for creating your own Original Alphabet Art is approximately 8 months - truly a labor of love. Payment begins with a check or PayPal payment to Rainford Art for 50% of the cost of the first group of letters - $810. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the group and so on until all four groups are complete. This one of kind series of Original Alphabet Art Co-created by you will become a family heirloom.




To Co-create individual letters of Original Alphabet Art, ie: baby's initials, the process looks like this:
  1. Download and print the Original Alphabet Art Form by clicking here. On the form, you write the word that you decide best represents each letter and a very simple drawing of how you think this word is best depicted (there is space for two drawings - you and your partner or friend can each draw your own version.   2. Mail or Fax me the form.

    If you and other family or friends would each like to create a letter, no problem. 3-8 letters take approximately 8 weeks to complete - please allow for more time with more letters. Payment begins with a check or PayPal payment to Rainford Art for 50% of the total cost of your letters. The remaining 50% is due upon completion. This is a truly unique opportunity to Co-create Original Alphabet Art that will become a family heirloom.
